| Systematic, hands-on workshops and state-of-the-art educational training tools are in demand but are limited in clinical settings. Training sessions are designed to expand individual knowledge of MSK US, demonstrating how to generate protocol images and articulate diagnosis with the use of high frequency ultrasound systems. With an instructor’s hands-on guidance, the participants will be able to master protocol images and learn the anatomy of specific joints within a two day workshop. As with abdominal sonography, learning to scan all the major joints proficiently may take a year of full-time hands-on scanning and educational training in order to produce quality diagnostic images for accurate diagnosis. Within the clinical setting there is limited time dedicated to learning MSK US. Radiologists, rheumatologists and sonographers are attending Great Lakes MSK US workshops customized with the intention of improving skills and achieving goals. |
